The BioNavigator tutorials are a series of workbooks which provide a detailed introduction to BioNavigator’s user-friendly and accessible interface, using step-by-step instructions that take you through worked examples.

These workbooks have been developed to be used in conjunction with a BioNavigator account.

Getting started with BioNavigator
BioNavigator Tutorial Volume 1

This tutorial introduces the various methods for entering data into BioNavigator, launching programs to analyze your data, accessing databases and managing your account.

This volume is in PDF format and can be downloaded by clicking on the following hyperlink:

During the course of the tutorial, you will be instructed to come back to this page for the purposes of copying and pasting a sequence, as well as uploading a sequence into your account.

Follow this link to view the sequence for exon 1 of the mouse alcohol dehydrogenase I gene. As instructed in the tutorial, select and copy the sequence that appears in the pop-up window, and paste it into the BioNavigator Work Bench page.

Follow this link to download the sequence mmadhex1.nuc onto your computer. Once it has downloaded, make a note of its location, and as instructed in the tutorial, upload it into BioNavigator.

Further information about viewing and downloading files
